U.S. Soldier: "Troops Want to Lynch Republicans"

Tue Apr 24, 2007 at 05:38:14 AM PDT

That quote is from the horse's mouth, a soldier I know serving in Iraq.  Come here what our troops really think about this war, and what we should do about it.

Good friends of ours have a son who is seving in Iraq.  Fortunately, he is okay so far and will be coming home in a few months.  Through the miracle of modern communications he talks to his parents a couple of times a week.  Here is what his parents say their son and other soldiers think about the extension of tours of duty recently foisted upon them by the Bush Administration.

"No one knows why we are here, we're not doing any good."

"How can we win when the Iraqi people don't seem to care."

and my favorite,
"We are ready to lynch Republicans."

This really should put an end to the, "setting a withdrawl deadline sends the wrong message to our troops" bullsh*t that the Republicans have been spouting.  Abandoning our troops in Iraq without a rational plan to secure the country is sending the wrong message to our troops.  The longer we keep our troops in Iraq, more of our young men and women will die needlessly.  Folks, please use these quotes from our troops to make it clear to your Republican friends that the TROOPS don't support this war, and it is time to bring them home.
